The Dajna is a giant primordial camel; it has the neck and head of a camel, but ten times the size of an elephant. It lived in Malta before the Deluge, however it couldn’t fit on Noah’s Ark and went extinct; however a population of Dajna live in the Netherworld. However, these camels are dangerous to humans, but their milk is said to be a remedy of baldness, only hero’s dare retrieve it. In Maltese Dajna means “Fallow deer” or an unkempt woman.
